The British Truck Racing Championship (BTRC) is well underway with the second of seven races having taken place at Thruxton on the 3rd/4th July.

Thruxton, rated as the fastest track in the UK, delivered a thrilling spectacle for the bumper crowd across the two days. The wheel-to-wheel action never failed to deliver, and we were elated with Cole Trucksport’s performance during the race weekend, where Simon Cole finished on the podium for three out of the five races.

The weekend was also a great achievement for Borg & Beck as the Cole Trucksport team truck, ‘the Beast’, completed all five races using just a single set of our Borg & Beck CV Brake Discs! Weighing in at more than five tonnes and producing in excess of 1000bhp, the Beast needed stopping power that could be relied upon to go the distance while maximising speed through the corners.

Simon said “We choose to fit Borg & Beck Braking to the Beast because of their high reliability and stopping power. The fact that we can go a whole race weekend without having to change the discs is testament to their quality and performance, the pads also perform extremely well and feel great under the pedal. We rely hugely on the brakes when racing and Borg & Beck has never let us down.”

We wish Simon and the team all the best for the rest of the championship and we hope that the next race taking place at Donnington Park on the 22nd and 23rd August is just as exciting.
